The First Donation

The Distant Relatives Project’s first outreach mission was in December of 2017; we donated school supplies to Chia Methodist Primary School’s, both located in Akim, Oda, in the eastern region of Ghana.

In partnering with Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, a Ghanaian Parliament Member, we impacted over 800 students, providing them with composition and educational books, desktops, laptops, sports equipment and more.

It was that day that our founder, William Asiedu, made a personal commitment to make education a right for all children and to provide opportunities and access to resources for all underserved communities.

A Lasting Impact

Yesterday was more than a surprise for us. Mr. Asiedu, thank you so much. You and your team got the whole town singing praises. The biggest question everyone is asking is, "who brought these angels to come and alleviate their plight?" We appreciate all that you are doing for us. Again, thank you so much.
